URAP CONDEMNS HAMAS TERRORISM and PRAYS FOR DEESCALATION

Uyghur Rights Advocacy Project (URAP) condemns in the strongest terms possible, the barbaric attacks by Hamas terrorists on innocent Israelis this past weekend. URAP extends its condolences to the families and friends of the hundreds that lost their lives and those still in captivity in Gaza, and prays for the recovery of the thousands more injured, and the safe return of all Israeli hostages.

Mehmet Tohti, URAP’s Executive Director emphasizes that Hamas does not represent the will of the Palestinian people. We must separate Hamas’ terrorist motivations and antisemitism from innocent, unaligned Palestinian people. Nevertheless, those in celebration of Hamas’ actions are morally bankrupt.

URAP continues to pray for peace and stability in the region, and the swift de-escalation of conflict to prevent further loss of life and allow innocent people on both sides to heal.
